DESCRIPTION
Van De Stadt 9m (30') Black Soo design circa 1970 is now for sale exclusively with DBY Boatsales.
Originally known as Bootlegger she raced in the Sydney Junior Offshore Group throughout the 70's.
Repainted in 2 pack polyurethane in 2021 she literally shines.
Her 2018 17hp Sole diesel shaft driven engine is an absolute ripper with low hours showing on the meter and well serviced. She even has a 2018 folding prop. Built as a hard chine yacht with angled stem and straight cambered transom with 1/2 inch marine plywood, dynel sheathed, she is heavy and solid for her size.
A simple and open layout down below gives plenty of natural light and airflow.
The accommodation can sleep 4 people, a pumpout toilet and a simple galley layout.
A tapered aluminium mast and boom with 2017 stainless steel rigging. A good wardrobe of sails including a new non-overlapping jib, a battened main in a boom bag with lazy jacks, # 1,2,3 hank-on jibs and a spinnaker for fun downwind.
A classic looking entry level yacht, but note this design is known for being very quick if it's a twilight a racer you are after.
