1972 Ferro 48ft ketch now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
Ferro 48ft ketch on a very sought after mooring in McCarr’s creek Pittwater which is included as part of the sale and would make for the ideal backyard for long stays onboard in a supurb location.
Built in 1972 by the current one and only owner, she sailed the Pacific for over 10 years and made the most wonderful, safe and roomy liveaboard with a total of 7 berths and high headroom throughout the vessel.
The galvanised wire rigging is 12 years old and the wardrobe of 6 sails is about 20 years old.
The original Ford 4-cylinder diesel engine is still mounted inside the large engine room to a shaft and propellor but is not running, and unable to be heard. All batteries need replacing.
There are Raymarine electronics, and an excellent Ayres Wind Vane self-steering system.
A total of 4 anchors with ample chain and warp. Plenty of spare yacht and engine parts come with the boat.
She needs a bit of a clean-up and to get the engine ticking over again so she can become a passage maker again.
